Cream and Lavender Rose Wedding Bouquet Preserved in Pressed Flower Acrylic Tray | Bloomsake

When this bride's bouquet arrived at our Houston studio after traveling via ground shipping, we weren't sure what to expect โ€” but what came through the door was stunning. Cream garden roses, soft lavender blooms, blush carnations, eucalyptus, and delicate wildflowers arrived in beautiful condition, ready to be transformed into something she'd keep forever.

About This Preservation

We preserved this mixed bridal bouquet using our pressed flower acrylic tray method. Each bloom was carefully pressed and arranged by hand inside a clear acrylic tray with brushed gold handles โ€” a functional keepsake she can display on a vanity, coffee table, or shelf. The cream and lavender tones pressed with incredible depth, holding their natural color and texture beautifully.

A Note on Shipping Your Bouquet

This bride shipped her bouquet using ground shipping โ€” something we typically don't recommend, as flowers can deteriorate over several days in transit. But her bouquet arrived in remarkable shape, and the final piece is proof that with the right care in packaging, even ground-shipped flowers can preserve beautifully. For best results, we always recommend overnight or 2-day shipping to keep your blooms fresh.

Why Roses and Eucalyptus Preserve So Beautifully

Garden roses are among the most rewarding flowers to press. Their layered petals flatten with incredible detail, holding subtle color variation that gives each piece a painterly, organic feel. Eucalyptus adds structure and a soft sage-green that anchors the whole composition โ€” it's one of our favorite greenery pairings in pressed work.

Have Questions?

Frequently Asked Questions

How does flower preservation work?

We use two main techniques: pressed flower preservation and resin flower preservation. For pressed pieces, we carefully flatten and dry each flower, then arrange and mount them in a frame or tray. For resin pieces, we dry the flowers and suspend them in layers of crystal-clear epoxy resin, creating a durable, glass-like keepsake. Both methods capture the natural color and beauty of your blooms.

How soon after my wedding or event should I send my flowers?

We recommend shipping your flowers within 3โ€“5 days of your event for the best results. Fresher flowers press more vibrantly and hold their color better. If you used ground shipping or your flowers have started to dry slightly, don't worry โ€” we've worked with flowers in all conditions and can still create a beautiful keepsake. Just contact us before shipping if you're unsure.

What types of flowers can be preserved?

We can preserve virtually any flower โ€” roses, peonies, garden roses, dahlias, ranunculus, hydrangea, eucalyptus, baby's breath, lilies, carnations, wildflowers, and more. Flat-faced blooms tend to press most beautifully, while three-dimensional flowers like orchids and tulips work best in resin. If you have an unusual flower, just ask us and we'll let you know the best preservation method.

How long does the preservation process take?

Our standard turnaround time is 6โ€“8 weeks from when we receive your flowers. We take this time to carefully press, dry, arrange, and craft your keepsake by hand. Rush orders may be available โ€” contact us to ask about expedited timelines.

Will my flowers fade over time?

All organic materials will gradually age over decades, but Bloomsake keepsakes are crafted to last generations when cared for properly. Keep your piece out of direct sunlight, in a stable temperature environment, and away from high humidity. Resin pieces are especially durable and UV-resistant. Many of our customers display their keepsakes for 10, 20, even 30+ years without noticeable fading.

Do you offer nationwide flower preservation?

Yes! We accept mail-in flower preservation orders from anywhere in the United States. After placing your order, you'll receive packaging instructions and a prepaid shipping label. We recommend 2-day shipping for the freshest results. For brides and clients in the Houston, TX area, we also offer local drop-off and pick-up appointments.

How much does flower preservation cost?

Our pricing varies by keepsake style and size. Pressed flower frames start at $195, acrylic trays from $225, and resin blocks from $275. Each piece is entirely custom-made, so pricing may vary based on the complexity of your arrangement. Visit our pricing page for full details, or start your order to see options for your flowers.

Can I preserve flowers that arrived by ground shipping?

Yes โ€” we've created many beautiful keepsakes from flowers shipped via ground. While we always recommend 2-day shipping for the freshest results, flowers that arrive a bit wilted or dried can still be pressed and preserved beautifully. Ground shipping bouquets may have slightly different color results but often still turn out stunning. As one of our brides put it: even ground-shipped flowers can come out looking beautiful when handled with care.
