Got Questions?
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the preservation process take?
Our current turnaround time is 6-12 months. Each piece is handcrafted with care, so we take the time needed to make sure your keepsake is everything you envisioned.
Can I choose the design or layout?
Yes! All main pieces include 2 complimentary design previews so you can approve the look before it's finalized. Please note that smaller items such as jewelry and ornaments do not include a design preview.
Do you accept flowers from all occasions?
Absolutely! We preserve flowers from weddings, anniversaries, funerals, proms, graduations, and any other occasion that holds special meaning to you.
Who is responsible for shipping flowers to your studio?
Shipping to our Houston, TX studio is the customer's responsibility. To make it easy, we offer a discounted shipping label available for purchase here.
How soon should I send my bouquet?
The sooner, the better! We recommend sending your flowers within 3-5 days of your event. Fresh flowers preserve best, so try to keep them cool and hydrated until you're ready to ship. If it's been longer than a week, don't worry - reach out and we'll let you know what's possible.
Can wilted flowers be preserved?
It depends on the extent of wilting. Flowers that are slightly wilted can often still be preserved beautifully. However, flowers that are severely dried out, moldy, or falling apart may not yield the best results. When in doubt, send them our way and we'll do our best with what we have.
How much does preservation cost?
Our preservation pieces vary in price depending on the style and size you choose. You can browse all of our options and pricing at our keepsakes collection.
What flowers preserve best?
Flowers with sturdy, compact petals tend to preserve best - think roses, delphiniums, ranunculus, and hydrangeas. Delicate blooms like lily of the valley or loose petals can be trickier, but our team works with all types of flowers and will do everything we can to preserve what makes your bouquet special.
Do flowers keep their color?
Preserved flowers do naturally shift in color slightly during the preservation process - they typically deepen or take on a more antique, romantic tone. Most customers love the result! We want to make sure you have accurate expectations going in so you can fall in love with your finished piece.
How long do preserved flowers last?
With proper care, your preserved floral keepsake can last for many years - even decades. We recommend keeping it out of direct sunlight and away from high humidity to maintain its beauty over time. It's also normal for pressed flower colors to shift slightly over the years as part of the natural aging process. For resin pieces, some yellowing can occur over time - we use a high-quality resin that is formulated to minimize yellowing as much as possible.
What is the difference between resin and pressed flower preservation?
Pressed flower preservation flattens your blooms and arranges them into beautiful artwork - think framed pieces you can hang and display in your home. Resin preservation encases your flowers in a clear acrylic to create functional keepsakes like trays, coasters, and jewelry. Both are stunning ways to honor your flowers - it just comes down to whether you're drawn to wall art or pieces you can use every day. Learn more about the difference here.
