If you are only getting this piece, you do not need to send your entire bouquet.

FOR SMALL FLOWERS ONLY. If your flowers are too big to fit the mold for this item, we will only be able to use the petals.

Letters: C, F, J, O, P or S, they will not stand on their own.

This is a custom made piece. We do not guarantee the use of every single flower given to us. In order to cast the flowers into resin, all flowers must be fully dry. This keepsake style has a 1 inch pour depth. If the flower thickness exceeds 1 inches, we will need to press the flower flat or use the petals only in order to fit it in this mold. Many flowers will change colors after they are dry and transparent spots on petals called ‘bruising’ may appear on petals once resin is poured onto the flowers. We show all of our clients a preview of how their flowers dry, and you can still decide if you want to add color enhancing. We are unable to provide a design preview for this specific piece and we will design your floral piece according to how the flowers dry and what is available to use.

WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO DRY THE AMOUNT OF FLOWERS USED FOR YOUR ORDERED ITEMS, PLEASE DO NOT OVER SEND TOO MANY FLOWERS. WE ARE NOT ABLE TO RETURN BACK FLOWERS THAT ARE NOT USED.

Production time: Approximately 6-12 months.

Bubbles in resin floral preservation are a natural occurrence, often rising from the petals as air escapes. While we carefully dry and seal your flowers to reduce bubbles, a few may still appear, adding to the organic beauty of your preserved blooms. Since every item is handmade, there may be minor imperfections, and each piece will have its own unique charm rather than being fully perfect.

The Color Enhancing Difference

Many flowers change colors once they are dry and we understand the importance of maintaining the original beauty of your flowers, that’s why we offer color enhancing as an option. This is the process where we hand paint each flower to match the dried flowers, as close as possible to the same vibrant and stunning color as it did on your special day and brighten up some of the flowers that may look a little dull from drying. Flowers may appear thicker due to the paint coat.

PLEASE READ EVERYTHING BELOW BEFORE ORDERING:

Flower Drying

When creating any of our keepsakes, it is crucial that the flowers are completely dry before being poured with resin. This is because any moisture trapped within the flowers can cause them to rot and decay over time, ruining the overall aesthetic of the piece. Additionally, resin does not work well with moisture. By ensuring that your flowers are thoroughly dried before incorporating them into your keepsake piece, we can create a stunning and long-lasting piece that will be enjoyed for years to come.

Floral Color Changes

It is important to note that not all flowers dry well and some colors may change during the drying process. For instance, red roses may dry to a burgundy color, while white roses may dry to a cream or yellow tone. Blush roses may also lose their pink tone and dry to a yellow color. Additionally, many tropical flowers do not dry well. Tropical flowers such as white anthuriums may dry to a brown color and become extremely thin and fragile. It is also important to note that succulents do not dry well and should not be used in resin pieces as moisture can cause them to rot. At Bloomsake, we elevate every piece with our exclusive color-enhancing process, revitalizing dried flowers to their original brilliance while also safeguarding their hues against fading, ensuring lasting beauty in every creation.

Bruising on Flowers

Floral bruising is a natural occurrence that can happen when preserving flowers in resin. These transparent spots can appear on flowers after resin is poured on them. While bruising shows up with resin, it is actually a result of the way that the flowers were handled when they were still fresh. If they were touched frequently then this will reflect later on in the pouring process. Bruising can most commonly be seen in roses, tropical flowers, lighter color flowers and flowers with thin petals. Don’t worry, they are not holes in your flowers. While bruising can be an unwanted effect for some, it is important to note that it is a natural part of the preservation process. We highly recommend adding the color enhancement option if you are not a fan of bruising. Adding color enhancing will not completely eliminate bruising, but it will minimize the look more compared to non enhanced flowers.

Bubbles in Resin

In resin floral preservation, bubbles are a natural and common occurrence. When resin is poured over delicate flowers, air trapped within the petals often rises to the surface, creating tiny bubbles. This happens because flowers are naturally porous, and as the resin cures, air can be released from the petals. While we take every precaution to minimize bubbles by carefully drying and sealing your flowers, some bubbles may still appear. These little imperfections are a testament to the organic beauty of your preserved blooms, capturing the natural essence of your flowers within a timeless keepsake.

Resin Ambering

Although resin art produces breathtaking results, the nature of this medium introduces complexities. Occasionally, resin pieces may exhibit imperfections like bubbles due to its unique properties. Additionally, over time, resin can naturally develop an amber hue, particularly when consistently exposed to sunlight or heat. To offer alternatives free from these influences, we recommend exploring our other preservation styles, such as exquisite pressed frames or elegant shadowboxes.

Resin Keepsake Aftercare

Your resin keepsake is a precious piece of art that requires gentle care to maintain its beauty. To ensure its longevity:

  • Avoid Direct Sunlight and Heat: Prolonged exposure to sunlight or heat may cause the resin to amber over time. Keep your keepsake in a shaded area away from direct sunlight and any sources of heat.
  • Cleaning Instructions: To clean, simply use a soft, dry cloth to gently wipe the surface. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that may damage your keepsake.
  • For Coasters and Trays: Please refrain from placing hot items like coffee or tea mugs directly on coasters or trays. Additionally, avoid placing candles on these surfaces to prevent heat damage.

By following these simple guidelines, you can preserve the beauty of your resin keepsake for years to come.
